My favorite portrait sessions to take by far are engagements. I love being able to capture the beginning of two couples’ lives merging together… the love that is shared between a couple… the start of something beautiful and real. Photographing Adam and Teri was no exception.
In fact, there was a moment when I was taking their picture and I was standing pretty far back from them. I wasn’t having to direct them much because they were basically naturals, but as I was snapping away, there was this beautiful moment that made me just stop (cheese alert!, cheese alert!) – I could just feel the happiness and love that these two radiated.
They were so HAPPY. They really love each other. I even turned to my assistant and said, “Did you feel that?” (who probably was thinking I was super weird but she’s still the best and went along with it anyway). I felt privileged to be in that moment because it reminded me of why I love doing what I do. It also made me excited to eventually find that myself some day.
So why don’t you just scroll down and enjoy this gorgeous couple and gorgeous Utah scenery with me?

Nicole, it’s just plain stupid how perfect these are. You. Are. Incredible. Someday, if I ever have even 1/10th of the skills that you have in photography, I’ll be doing fine. Jeez! I love all these.
Oh my goodness Bryce that seriously made my day. It means a lot hearing a compliment from you because I think your work is amazing! Thanks so much. :)
